The history and basic rules of Ultimate Fighting Championship (Part 2)

Referee stops

In club fights or other types of UFC match, the referee may suspend the match if one of the two boxers is overwhelmed to the point of being struck repeatedly and unable to defend normally (this can happen in seconds) and fainting when locked up in the ring.

The doctor stops

The referee will ask to stop the game if he is unsure whether the fighter will still be able to play in a serious injury. The doctor will examine the wound to see if the person is still able to play safely. If not then his opponent will become the winner.

However, if this injury is caused by one of the taboos of the MMA law, the Organizing Committee will give a result of “No Contest” (Draw) or “Disqualification” (type), depending on the action is accidental or intentional.

The possible decisions in a UFC match

When the innings have ended without a winner, the points of the three judges for each round will be added up, and the boxer will have a higher total score than the winner. The jury members are separate organizations.

Forfeit

One side declares surrender before the game starts.

Disqualification

Every time he accidentally made a mistake on the ring or intentionally disobeyed the instructions of the referee, the boxer will receive a high scene. Three warnings will result in elimination. However, when a martial artist is seriously injured and cannot continue the game because the opponent intentionally broke the law, the offender will be disqualified.

No contest (draw)

In the event that both boxers commit a gross foul or are unable to continue playing due to accidents caused by unqualified techniques of the boxers, the match will be declared a draw.

Offense

It is against the law for boxers to commit the acts including head butting, poking your hand into the opponent’s eyes, biting, grasping hair, putting your finger in the mouth or into the opponent’s open wound, a strong attack on the spine, or behind the head, striking with the cross from behind, attacking the throat, strangling, scratching…

Besides, the rules prohibit kneeling on the kidney area, throwing hunger from the ring, spraying spit on opponents, holding your hand on the fence or wire, attacking an opponent when the opponent is under the referee’s reminder, attacking the opponent after the bell for the end of the half time, using insults against opponents in the ring

                                                                                                                            .

Location, dates and everything to know about UFC Fight Island

With the unpredictable situation in Las Vegas, USA, UFC president Dana White is considering moving the events to Fighting Island completely.

At the end of UFC 251, the first event on Fight Island, President Dana White expressed his satisfaction with the organization. Despite the unexpected developments, Fight Island still fulfills the role of an alternative.

After the event, White and his former champions Michael Bisping and Matt Sera went on a trip to experience services on Yas Island, where the Competitive Island is located.

After July, UFC plans to bid farewell to Abu Dhabi and Duel Island to return to Las Vegas with the UFC Apex center. However, the complicated situation in the US may cause Dana White to reconsider this decision.

Ensuring the safety of UFC Fight Island from COVID-19

Of course, the opening of the Battle Island is intended to bring UFC activities back during the COVID-19 season, so safety will be at the forefront of the UFC.

Until now, no cases of COVID-19 infection have been reported after the events of UFC. This shows that the tournament still performs well in the required processes and does not allow any risk of spread to occur.

Although the operation plan for the fighters on the Island has not been determined, it is likely that UFC will carry out all isolation and testing tasks directly in the time before and after the boxer. This will give UFC greater control if any issues arise.

UFC president confirmed Khabib will return in October at Fight Island event

UFC President Dana White confirmed Khabib Nurmagomedov will return to the octagon cage in October at UFC Fight Island event in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi is the venue for the UFC 251 event from July 12. It witnessed Kamaru Usman defeat Jorge Masvidal to successfully defend the semi-middleweight championship belt. UFC President Dana White seemed very pleased with what happened here and confirmed that the Fight Island event will return to Abu Dhabi in October with the biggest star Khabib Nurmagomedov.

With what UFC President Dana White has announced, fans will have a chance to witness Khabib Nurmagomedov’s octagon cage re-release in Abu Dhabi in October. The lightweight champion was unable to play after successfully defending his belt at UFC 242 last September.

The Eagle must miss the battle with Tony Ferguson at UFC 249. If he wants to regain his belt from interim champion Justin Gaethje, the Russian boxer will have to defeat his opponent at the Fight Island event in this October.

Also according to the manager of Khabib Nurmagomedov, the match is expected to take place at the Fight Island event this October, most likely on October 24 this year. This promises to be a great UFC event.

UFC paid Masvidal £ 280,000 for the UFC Fight Island event

Despite the defeat in the semi-weight match, but Jorge Masvidal is not too sad to look at the journey to Abu Dhabi and the amount of money he received from this event. Let’s take a look at the numbers that UFC paid to fighters at the main event UFC Fight Island recently.

The Sun Sport has just announced the amount of money that UFC pays to fighters who participated in the main even UFC Fight Island.

Unsurprisingly, Kamaru Usman was the one who made the most with 400 thousand pounds. Meanwhile, his defeat general Jorge Masvidal also received significant numbers, 280 thousand pounds.

Masvidal still earns money from UFC despite losing

It is known that this is the amount that UFC pays the athletes, not including other surcharges. Another significant revenue comes from television rights from paid views. According to the reports, this is certainly not a small number when more than 1.3 million PPVs have been confirmed.

Kamaru Usman defeated Masvidal and pocketed 400 thousand pounds

Defeating Jorge Masvidal, helping Kamaru Usman not only successfully defended the mid-class belt, but also increased his total number of wins at UFC to 12-0, and the unbeaten series in the MMA arena was 16.

Notably, when two defeated generals Max Holloway and Jose Aldo ranked third on the list, UFC paid a lot with the same 240 thousand pounds. Chicken class champion Alexander Volkanovski, despite defeating Holloway, earned only £ 200,000, while Russian boxer Petr Yan only earned £ 56,000 in a victory over Aldo in the flies belt battle.

The money some fighters at UFC 251 received from UFC

In the women’s content, Jessica Andrade earned the most, 84 thousand pounds despite losing to Rose Namajunas who received only 80 thousand pounds.

Paige VanZant star pocketed 48 thousand pounds in a flash defeat against Amanda Ribas, who only earned 29 thousand pounds.

There are 2 boxers deducted for not guaranteeing the standard weight. Raulian Paiva, who defeated Zhacheas Zhumagulov received only £ 8,000 instead of the original 10,000. While Vanessa Melo only received 7 thousand compared to the original 10,000 in the defeat against Karol Rosa.

The history and basic rules of Ultimate Fighting Championship (Part 1)

Ultimate Fighting Championship, or UFC for short, is the largest MMA tournament in the world.

The UFC is divided into 9 weight classes and applies the unified martial arts competition rule. In the fight, boxers began to apply effective techniques from many martial arts including Boxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sambo, Wrestling, Muay Thai, Karate, Judo, and a few others. That makes this tournament completely different from other tournaments.

Opens a new era in martial arts

UFC is the largest martial arts tournament in the world today, bringing together many players, attracting the attention of millions of fans. It can be said that UFC has opened a new era of martial art’s real combat, winning is more important than winning.

The history of UFC

UFC was held in the US, the first UFC was held in November 1993, the second time in March 1994, the third time in September 1994, and from then on, it was held every 3-4 months. However, in the past 8 years, this tournament has become more and more popular around the world.

With a significant income from ticket sales as well as television rights, UFC matches take place more and more, with three matches a month, and not just encapsulated within the United States. Sometimes venues are held in Japan, Brazil, Australia, Canada, Macao to promote the brand and image of this tournament.

Flexible rules change to protect the health of boxers

Before the idea that the UFC tournament was quite violent, it only mattered who won, it didn’t matter how to win. However, the rules of modern MMA matches have changed dramatically to protect the health of boxers and be seen as a sport. There are 9 different weight classes in the UFC tournament.

Types of winning an MMA tournament

Knock Out

As soon as the player is unconscious due to a hit, his opponent is immediately declared a winner. However, the MMA rules allowing lying on the floor, the match only stops to prevent damage in this case.

Submission

Boxers can accept defeat during a match by flapping 3 times on the opponent, flapping 3 times to the floor to surrender (often called “tap out”). If both hands are locked, it is possible to speak in defeat.

Stop the game from the corner of the ring

Throw a white towel to give in (usually to protect the stubborn boxer who does not tap out even though he is about to be seriously injured when his arms and legs are locked).

After Jon Jones, Jorge Masvidal put pressure on remuneration with UFC

Currently, UFC is having a funny story causing many changes in the locker room, that is, the superstars of the tournament constantly complained about the compensation, when a weak boxer gets a raise regardless of receiving 3 matches consecutive losses.

In recent times, UFC is having a lot of trouble about salaries for boxers. While the top UFC fighters are constantly denouncing compensation (Masvidal, Jon Jones, Conor McGregor), there are cases where weak, poor, losing fighters receive a raise.

Recently, Tim Elliott (won 15, lost 11, draw 1) has received a decision to raise the salary from UFC regardless of whether he has NOT held the championship title of any previous tournament. Moreover, he competes in Flyweight, a weight that is of little interest at UFC and he is losing 3 consecutive games in a row. What has made this puncher a raise while other UFC PPV superstars are ignored?

Not every superstar will be reminded to raise wages at UFC

Not only Tim Elliott is a boxer who is paid higher than he really is. T within the past 5 years, heavy boxer Alistair Overeem is also on the list of the richest fighters in UFC. However, except that he was once the K1 champion and has fought in many different MMA tournaments, the Dutchman’s performance at UFC is quite modest.

Now, Overeem is still “in charge” of the “doorkeeper” of heavyweight, only hanging around in the top 10 and failing to compete for the title. Even so, In the list of the 10 highest-earning UFC fighters, Overeem has always been a persistent name.

BMF holder Jorge Masvidal is constantly tense with the UFC president, the cause of his dissatisfaction with his current remuneration in the tournament. Jon Jones’s proposal to increase the remuneration for the match against Francis Ngannou gave UFC President Dana White a headache, now the same problem continues with Jorge Masvidal.

Jorge Masvidal is asking for a higher remuneration to be able to fight

It can be seen that this is the main reason why “Gamebred” has postponed the title match with middleweight champion Kamaru Usman, although this is Masvidal’s first match at UFC.

The boxer who is ranked 3rd in Welterweight also points out that boxers like Jon Jones, Henry Cejudo or Conor McGregor all have the same problem. The evidence is the information retired, demanding continuous cancellation of these boxers.
